Our rig has 43 gallons fresh tank capacity, 40 gallons grey, and 40 gallons black. We also have a selectable manifold in our heated wet bay that allows a setting to provide for additional fresh water to be pumped in to the fresh tank from an external container. We have used that feature on a number of occasions as our water ran low while dry camping.
Not clear what the Australian usage model is that permits such low capacities as in the Sunliner Switch. It seems the owners would be dumping and refilling every 2-3 days and would not be in the Outback.
No they would not be running in the Outback, more Rural areas of Australia, big difference. Black water tanks not popular in Australia, Plenty of places to get water etc Alternatives are composting toilets, no dumping
Plenty of Cassette dump spots, not a problem People do not stay in one location like you may do, but move a fair bit.
With big tanks, they can either be used or not. If we take a long cruise and only stay a day or 2 in each place, then the black and grey tanks are typically mostly empty and we'll fill the freshwater to 2/3. If we are staying in one place dry-camping and exploring the area for several days then we will fill up the fresh tank and will not have to do anything with regards to the tanks for up to 5 days. Will usually run out of fresh water or fill the grey tank first, have never filled the black tank.
