Outstanding! Maybe not a 'true B' by RVIA & IRS standards, but certainly a 'camping van conversion'. A mechanic bud had a similar one for years, and I think his wife still mourns its passing. I wish GM still made them. If you can find one, you might be able to put a high top roof on it. It's body-on-frame, so cutting the roof isn't an issue AFAIK.
You probably already know of them but if not, Google 'Tiger GT' and Tiger XL'. Full B's on the Astro. They look like mini-C's, but were built from chopped full-body vans, since GM never built the Astro/Safari as a cutaway. Some were built on the AWD chassis, and a few were converted to full-on 4x4 with low range by a 3rd party (maybe Quadvan?).
