It's a chev base. I've sat staring at that bowtie on the steering wheel and it never even clued into me what I was looking at lol
The engine according to the old owner is a V8 472,
Don't know if this helps or not.
Picture shows the common carb fed 454 cu in engine and for it to be a 472, some kind of mods, such as boring or stroking had to be done.
