Funny you should ask. I have just finalized my order for a new Roadtrek 170 and when it arrives, I will sell my minivan. For the last 4 years, I have used a 25 ft Class C (LTV Libero) as my daily driver when I am in Arizona for the winter. I admit it was rather crazy, but it got a fabulous 8.5-9.5 miles per gallon, and I did have to plan ahead as to where I would be able to park it. But, one gets much more exercise walking from distant sections of various parking lots.
I decided that it was time to downsize... pondered and actually originally ordered a 190. But then I thought that it really made little sense to have my Sienna sitting in a parking garage for 6-7 months of the year. Why not get the smallest RT and sell it? The 170 is, after all, only 22 inches longer. So that is what I am doing. I will see how it works for the couple months that I may be up north before heading back to AZ.
If I don't like it, next year when I come back to MN, I will buy another car. I will miss not being able to park in the underground parking garage of my building. Perhaps I could get the condo association to raise the ceiling a few feet. :B
