One has to laugh reading some of the bright responses, so thought time I should join the fun & BS.
Never was a union teamster, never felt the need to have some one negotiate my future, am capable of making my own decisions.
My experience backing a tractor trailer was very easy, guessing due to played too much with two hay wagons behind a Farmall M (no power steering).
Any time you start feeling like your the master at backing, try one of them.
Now backing the coach with a car on ground 4 down, normal towbar is perfect example of stupid. If perfectly straight, yup, a few feet, you can get away with it. If in any sort of turning situation, forget it or your going to wind up with bent up something, what ever is the weak link. Go test it.
Why I always go to the truck side at truck stops, am more comfy and usually enough space to not need to back up.
We all have choices. Good luck
