Base Idle, Fast Idle, Non Idle - Best Practices Diesel

Call the engine manufacturer and ask them if they have a manual with guidance on this subject. I have had a coach with a Cat Engine and now one with a Cummins engine. They were both pretty clear on the guidance about that which is being discussed. I've read them both and following what the manufacturer said for the engines of those years. They answered all the questions Holstein asked down to idle for three minutes before shutting down from a "hard" pull or run.
