The wife makes trips to the bathroom as needed when we're in the coach. On the interstate with little traffic, there is no reason not to take advantage of the toilet in the coach. Would we do that on a road with a lot of switchbacks or in stop-and-go traffic? No, a bit of common sense is required like with anything else while driving. But it's a risk assessment each driver and passenger needs to make. No need to be paranoid!
