battery connection

I have a 2007 tour with a three batteries bank each 120 amps hours the problem is the first battery needs water added all the time and gets hot the other two don't I have check charger and connections. this is my second set of batteries in a year any suggestion
  • Need to remove, separate the batteries to be charged and tested.
I think you have one bad battery.

Second set in a year? Something is really wrong. Could be just a defective battery. Just have it replaced under warranty.

I don't know why Winnebago does this.....put in three 12 volt batteries on their DP coaches. If you end up with a bad battery, you'll need to replace all three as mentioned above. This would be a great time to take measurements and install four six volt batteries. You'll be better served. I know that on my sister's Winnebago (Itasca Meridian). there was room for four six volts where the three twelve volts were located.

If you put in 4- 6 volt batteries and just one has a defect later on, you STILL REPLACE ALL 4 BATTERIES. Having 2-3-4-5-6-7-8 batteries does not change this. Interstate Battery, replaces ALL batteries in a bank if just one has a defect under warranty. Doug
