Towed the 04 CRV for 7 years w/o pulling the fuse with no problems. 2 years ago upgraded the cord and added a charge line which will help extend the battery life.
However CRV instructions likely consider worst case scenarios like low temperatures or older battery. Therefore replace the fuse with a fuse switch combination so that you use the switch to disable the fuse. Adding a charge line is also a good idea.
