Battery pad that inhibits corrosion on the tray

Have any of you heard of a hard cardboard material that sits under the battery and inhibits corrosion on the tray? I remember coming across this type of material on the job when installing stand-by C...

Best way to prevent battery corrosion: Stop buying lead-acid batteries! AGM batteries don't degas or emit corrosives. Don't get me started on the many other advantages, but there are many, and they don't really cost more considering the longer lifespan and you can buy them for below MSRP. Just my humble experience here, no expert in batteries.
