Battery strap buckle corrosion

Question

I have already replaced my two battery straps on my pull out tray due to corrosion on the two buckles and now the corrosion is back. Corrosion is only on the buckles, not on the wiring, not on the batteries, not on anything else. Where can I get some battery straps with nylon or some other type metal that won't corrode? I have four batteries on this tray. Thanks!

Take a look  HEREOr if you have an ARMY/Navy type of surplus store in your area.

Install new CLEAN straps and coat the buckles with Vasolene.  ALso make sure your batterys are NOT OVER filled because if they are they will definitely outgas to beat the band

I replaced mine with STAINLESS.  No more problems.

If you don't have a battery fill system you should consider acquiring one.  Pretty much eliminates any corrosion problems besides making routine maintenance a snap.
