IMO, there simply is no "BEST", there is only personal preference. What is best for YOU!
I agree with Effy, having been there, done that. Our first coach was a very nice little Pace Arrow, 27 foot, on a Dodge M400 chassis. JUST what I wanted! (I do like that 440 engine!) However, the floor plan was TERRIBLE!
IMO, there is no need for a coach over 32 or 36 feet long, other than to impress the neighbors, if there are only two of you. You Won't be able to use many (if not most) of the State Parks and Forest Service campgrounds. The two of us lived in a 32 foot coach with no slides for nearly a year, including during a Montana winter. BUT, as I have said, it is a matter of what is right for YOU; my likes are irrelevant.
From your posts on this issue, you have it pretty well figured out what YOU want, now it is just a matter of finding it. I will say, do not be afraid of an "orphan" coach. That is, one that the manufacturer is no longer in business.
Remember, the coach builder just built the box and the cupboards. EVERYTHING in that box was purchased from another manufacturer, who is probably still in business! Parts for the appliances, engine, transmission, chassis, drivetrain, etc. are readily available.
Good luck in your search.
