Since it's grand kids for maybe two months, what are you doing the rest of the year should determine what you buy. Snowbirding in Fla for 3+ months leans towards a 5er although we do it in a DP as it's the nicest and most expensive way to travel. I would not let the kid's use be the deciding factor.
