I-15 north to Idaho Falls. US-26 east/southeast/north to Jackson and Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming. This completely avoids any mountain passes, but is still a beautiful drive.
I would agree. Seems a longer route than the 30/34 noted, but I'm not familiar with 30/34, so couldn't recommend it. I-15 to Idaho Falls, then US 26 to Alpine Junction, then 26/89 to Hoback and Jackson, is really uneventful as far as passes and it's still scenic. We take that route all the time from our house near Boise. At Palisades is a park with hookups at the base of the dam should you decide to stop. It's a good overnight stop, and easy in and easy out. At Alpine is a Chevron roomy enough for you to pull through and fill up. They put in a round about at Hoback so you'll have to maneuver around that. Most definitely do not take Teton Pass Hwy 22 between Victor and Jackson. Not worth it.
