Big Foot Leveling System, flashing light??

I have used the search feature and just can't find the right answer. We just picked up our 2016 Forester 3051. We have had it two nights. We got the levelers down the first night, had to put some wood under the tires so they didn't come off the ground. Its in our driveway which is pretty level but slightly sloped to the rear for water drainage. We took a ride yesterday, came home and thought we leveled it. Woke up this morning and realized that none of the stabilizers were down. We tried to do the automatic and the back two come down and then nothing with the front two. The green light in the center is on and then left and right are flashing. Our bubble level is pretty close, off maybe a quarter inch. Any suggestions? Are the fronts supposed to come down even if its level without them? I can't find anything in the little tiny brochure they gave us. So overwhelmed right now.

  • Thanks Dave. No one was in there but it does seem confused. We drove it to Walmart and parked where the back was lower than the front. The fronts came down but not the backs. We came home and tried several times on auto and either all 4 came down but the rear tires lifted or when we retracted, put boards under the tires and did it again, only the rears came down. It was only slightly unlevel so we manually put the fronts down and got it all leveled up. We will call them tomorrow. I tried today and they are only open during the week and had emergency numbers but this was not an emergency, although it felt like one to me! I just hate not feeling comfortable and "knowing or understanding" how something works. I guess we'll learn it one way or another. Hopefully with no costly mistakes.
  • Yes, all 4 should come down and contact the ground. Sounds like your sensor got confused. Did you have people moving around in the coach while it was trying to level itself? If so, that might be the problem.

I'd recommend retracting the levelers (use "emergency" retract if needed), until all 4 are up. Turn the system off/on, then try again.

As a general rule, I always make everyone get out during leveling time, or at least everyone must be seated and not moving.

Bigfoot has good tech support if you need to call them. Very nice and helpful.

    Good luck
