Bilstein steering damper

To replace the original steering damper with a Bilstein will it mount same as the original on the e450 ?
  • Safe-T-Plus doesn't *appear* to offer a unit for a E450-based Class C.

Since you are going to install a new damper, why dont you go with a coilover system like the Roadmaster Reflex steering stabilizer? It dampens and stabilizes

I went with the Safe-T-Plus, because the spring is enclosed within the casing.

Yes, it is a direct replacement for the OEM dampner. I replaced mine with the Bilstein unit last year. Major difference noticed.
