Over the years of trucking I have blown several steer tires. Most were a non issue and I just slowed down and stopped on the shoulder. One tire a brand new Bridgestone (I have used many since) blew at about a week old and wow it pulled me onto the wrong side of the road before I could blink. Luckily there was no oncoming traffic at the time I I got it back on my side.
The point is, you can't tell what it will do and that video is a controlled situation and the driver is prepared for it. No matter how many miles you have driven and how great of driver you are it still will be a surprise when it happens. In some cases ramming the throttle to the floor may help in other cases it may be the opposite.
