Blew in the middle of the tread,, no hazard on the roadway at all.... Pressure was set at max before we left the house, it's in Texas and it's hot outside of course

First time I've heard of a Hankook blowout for that size tire, but it's hardware and nothing hardware is bulletproof.

I've used Toyo's and Bridgestone in the past and never had a problem and seldom hear of one. I'm currently using Toyo's and am happy with them.

Or pay a premium and go for the Michelins, but they have been known for serious sidewall checking. Goodyears have a problem with rivering (or cupping) of the decoupler rib, but they usually "age out" before that becomes an issue.

Most important ... weigh your coach by axle and inflate to the load. Underinflation is a sure fire way to early failure.

not being argumentative but how could you k ow there were no nails, glsss or the like on the roadway? did the load infkation table call for max inflation or do you just run max? was the tread intact or did the tire tear itself apart?

Max pressure on a hot day is not always the best way to go, you do know tires while under way build heat and pressure, I never run max.

I put all new 6 Hankook tires on a year ago, I hope yours is just a failure instead of quality issues..

Perhaps a bit of a counterpoint:

Per all tire manufacturers, inflate the tire to the recommended PSI BEFORE DRIVING (that is their definition of "cold"). They know what PSI will do with temperature rise-- after all the Ideal Gas Law is pretty well known by the tire engineers.

This does not suggest that 120 PSI is the correct PSI for his tires/actual weights-- I have no idea if this is proper inflation or overinflated for his coach.

Tire should have PSI according to weight not just put to max and you could have hit something a week ago and it only failed today.

But at what time of day was pressure set, if you set pressure at 7am at max and by 2pm on a hot day it can rise as much as 10 psi without even driving, than add driving on that tire at 10 psi over max and see how high the psi can go.
