There are a few campgrounds where I can not go with my rig (37' offically, 37'7" plus cargo tray making it 40 feet overall) The only thing that took getting used to was that extra six inches width, I've gone down some downright scary roads I hope to visit again.... IN A JEEP!!!!.
Most motor homes are set up for 4 people driver +3, alas that is all the seat belts they include.
Where to park it... If there is an abandoned lot near you, check out your city's abandoned lot policy.. In my case it was the back fence lot that was vacant.. I bought it for less than 400 dollars and turned my property into a drive though,, Parked it on the back half of the lot.
Of course, since we dumped the house and went full time... This is NOT a problem.
