We would be driving over 1800 miles to buy this MH sight unseen. Dealer appears very honest in all answers to my many, many questions.
We have driven a similar unit locally. Obviously I want a rock bottom price, but don't want to insult them or embarrass myself. They are at about 29% off right now.
29% discount is what you will be able to order a 2015 for without a lot of hard negotiating. You have to remember the 2014 is new but it has a year of depreciation. I have found that for some reason dealers do not like to discount previous year model MHs as they have been paying interest "floor plan" to keep it on the lot and they always try to get that back. Remember the 2016 models will be out in just five months. If you can get it at a 45% discount you would have a good deal otherwise order a new one equipped and in the color you want for 30% discount. Just my thoughts. - EffyExplorer IIThe value is what the comparative market will bear. There must be over a dozen of these sitting across the US for sale. All come in close to an advertised price of 139k - give or take. The only way to find out the lowest price you can get is to start calling and pitting one against another. If it were me, I'd call on every one I could find. The rest is all conjecture and theory based on tire age etc. I guarantee you, you'll never get a discount on '14 untitled MH because of tire age. Not going to happen. The used market on the same year and model seems to be about 130-135. So I don't think you will realize as much depreciation as some of the doom and gloom crowd would lead you to believe. BTW the numbers I quoted above took me about 2 mins of google searches. Imagine what you could do in an hour.
Sorry if I sound a bit cynical but it is what it is. Some of you offering advice to ask for 40, 45, 50% or walk is bad advice. Sorry but it's true. You guys act like it's been wrecked or damage and splitting hairs on tire year etc. Come on, it's a year old. No wonder the value on everyone's MH depreciates so badly. Everyone in the market is convinced that if it's 2 years old it's worthless. You guys need to get real. - PastorCharlieExplorerIt may be untitled but it is still 2 years old, as are the tires, batteries, seals, sun deterioration on all the exterior and curtains, electronics, etc.... The value of the MH will be what a 2 year old one is worth, not what a new one is worth, as that is what it will be once it is driven off the lot.
The reason it has not already been sold is because it is over priced and no one is willing to pay that amount. A MH that is priced correctly will not remain on the lot very long. The longer it sits on the lot the less it will actually be worth BUT it will still be advertised as NEW. - topflite51ExplorerIf I could not get 40% off MSRP on a soon to be 2 year old unit, I would look elsewhere. The dealer must be really proud of his unit, as it certainly is not making him any money sitting there.

Sorry, didn't mean to offend, I was simply trying to help. I was referring to this, perhaps I should have said offered - some other posters had wording closer to demand;
"Charlie D, the dealership is over 1600 miles from Louisiana.
Offered 40% off MSRP. They did not laugh at me but pretty much insinuated I was nuts.
I have not countered and neither have they. "
In any event, as you can see the number was too low. The point is, it's important to arm yourself with ammunition for the fight. Dealers know what the market will bear and you can too. Armed with a reasonable number and the wheels can be set in motion - pardon the pun. 40% obviously wasn't it and from the advice on this page others suggested going lower. Often it's a better tactic to approach with a number as opposed to a percent. Find out what the lowest 5 dealer's numbers are and counter with that - and let hem know you have 5 dealers with a better number. If you want it. This may have been a whim. - derouen6ExplorerExcuse me.

Sherry - EffyExplorer IIAny time you are shopping for anything, especially MH's you need to do some apples to apples comparison shopping. It does not matter what you, me or anyone else in this forum "thinks" you should pay, what matters is what the market will bear. You need to find other dealers in the US selling the same unit and get their best price. Start pitting one against another and you'll have your number. You and some others on here may not like it, but that's how you know what the market will bear on that unit.
Call these guys and ask them their best price;
MCGEORGE 35b
Or start calling some of these guys;
RV Trader search
Tons of them out there;
Google
There seems to be a lot of these which could help your case. But calling one dealer and demanding 40% will get you the answer you got. No. - Godsey97ExplorerI have found, after buying several units over a number of years, that the typical discount off of MSRP on a new unit is right around 30%. You might be able to dicker off a few more HUNDRED here or there, but figure 30% for a new one on the lot. I have never ordered from the factory, so I do not know the spread there.
On occasion you see one discounted more, but I have found it usually is due to the unit being an odd floor plan or interior color or some other situation which makes it a unit that has limited appeal, a bunkhouse Class A for example is harder to get rid of as the majority of young families (reguiring a bunkhouse) have Class C money and not Class A money.
Where we do all of our business, Colerain RV, they have a 2014 Winnebago Sightseer marked down from $153,855.00 to $115,973.00 a little less than 25% off and the website has a button you can click to get the "Special Price", indicating there is still some room on it. If I remember correctly, they had it listed as Sale Pending a couple of weeks ago, and now it is back on the market, maybe financing fell though, who knows.
I have also come to learn that there is a difference in spread (discount) from MFG to MFG.
Just my opinion/experience from 10 years of buying and researching 4 different RV's. - EffyExplorer II

He should easily get 35% off msrp on a 14. Why shouldn't he when you can get a 15 for around the same? All Im saying is he needs to shop around because there are a bunch of 14 DP's still on the lots and also the dealer is very far away from him.
When I bought my POS 14 Palazzo, it was brand new right off the line and I got 33% off msrp.
I would agree. I saw about 35% on mine. But some folks are prompting 40-50%. Come on. Show me where that is and I'll be in that long line.
