When I had the Ultrapower done for my 8.1L engine I received a readout with the before and after HP and torque gains. Besides that, I definitely noticed a difference in the power I had for climbs.
I also remember that the Ultrapower can be tuned for various parameters. I wanted more power when towing in the Western mountains, which is what I got.
I could have had the Ultrapower tuned for better fuel mileage, which I am sure would not have made the same noticeable changes to my power output.
In other words, if it is tuned for maximum mileage instead of maximum power, I doubt if you will notice any changes in the way it drives. What did you ask for when you bought the Ultrapower?
