In other words, if it is tuned for maximum mileage instead of maximum power, I doubt if you will notice any changes in the way it drives. What did you ask for when you bought the Ultrapower?
Good. Question! I just ordered performance tuning package. My understanding is that it was to change shift points and reduce the tendency to have to downshift so easily.
I have the ODB gadget that came with the package. Perhaps that gizmo can determine if the 'flash' took place. All we know at this point is that there has been no change that we can determine. Mileage was about the same if not a little lower. But too soon to determine on the mileage. I wasn't expecting a mileage gain, but I WAS expecting it to perform better on hills, as advertised.
