burst hydraulic hose / no electricity question

posting for a class A motorhome friend - plugged in and electric would not work - nothing wrong with the parks electric - friend then saw hydraulic fluid leaking up front and found a burst hose - could that be the cause of no electricity or are they two problems that happened at the same time - I have a 5th wheel and have no idea - what do you think - Bob ps it is a 40 ft mandalay diesal pusher
  • Agree...two different problems but one could've caused the other...hydraulic fluid up front is probably either the slide mech or the stabilizers. If it's the slides and he tried to deploy them, he probably tripped a breaker......Dennis

You don't say if he tried his generator. And ... is it all the electric?
    :@
  • Doubt if one caused the other, systems are too far separated. On the other hand they could be related if the same animal chewed thru the hose and cable.

I agree, the two problems are NOT related but ... There may be a 3rd problem that caused both... Though in most motor homes electricity enters at the rear and never gets to where that hose is up front.
  • Bad circut board caused the electric problem - had nothing to do with the hydraulic hose bursting - thanks for your input
