I recently purchased a 2003 DP from a dealer. That was after a couple of months of shopping on line at dealers and private party. Looked at several private party coaches and found one we liked but decided to take a look at one at a dealer. It had six new tires and six new batteries. We were able to negotiate a reasonable price and the dealer did a few minor repairs after the sale. All in all I am happy with the deal.
The point is look at the deal you get whether at a dealer or a private party.
