I was wondering if you could share your experience buying a RV used as a rental, and specifically El Monte RV.
Please don't post "I would never buy a rental because...." Only respond if you have experience purchasing a unit used as a rental. I would like to here the good and the bad.
Thanks.

For us was like buying any other product actually. Trying to get best for our money. My advice is don't get in a hurry and fall in love. To the seller the RV is just like most others on his lot. To you it will be "the" rv you bring home. Big difference. Sales guy was like "welcome, take your pick here is what we have available right now".
"specifically El Monte RV."
No experience buying from them.

(Well thought out post on your part). So many people judge by what some rental place gave them to drive and that is their entire experience. Yes, I've seem some x-rentals that should of been used for parts IMO. So, keep going back till you find one you want to bring home.
Owned for over 5 years now, no major problems, very happy with purchase. Be prepared for people to ask you the same question you ask here when your out camping. Have had people all kinds of questions. From "what did you pay" to "I'd never own a rental" to "I should of got one". For the abrasive types just tell them that "you paid less for the whole unit than what their depreciation is".
IMO "IAMICHABOD" is the most knowable guy on El Monte and did his home work. His links in his posts have good info.
