In 2007 we bought a 2004 Cruise America 28R with 60,000 miles and couldn't be happier with it. Yes, they are somewhat basic but that was just what we were looking for.
Ours was from the CA headquarters in Phoenix so their repair shop is alongside the showroom. We found a couple dried out suspension bushings and it was immediately pulled in for repair.
Shop carefully and wear your old clothes or better yet, bring along a mechanic's creeper so you can do a complete undercarriage inspection.
