Blackdiamond you asked anyone to share their experience buying a RV used as a rental, and specifically El Monte RV.
Beside my experience of buying at El Monte RV there are others. There is the one by Beckid
There is also a closed thread on the problems and the remedy that one person had with El Monte RV, they seemed to like the outcome.
Breakdown
Then there is the most recent one by adlereins
There are at least 30 happy owners on the rental thread and that is only the ones that have responded to it, there may be a lot of others.
Just one company has sold more than 25000 rentals and I have yet to hear of any complaints.
There are always the same ones that post the same old things on any Rental post that have no foundation or facts on what they say, they just want to muddy the waters or post some sort of sensational video that is an anomaly.
All we can do is look at the facts, do our due diligence as others have said, such as the inspections, and make our decision based on all the factors that are relevant to you. After doing all that I am very happy with my decision.
