Look at the Class C cabover rebuild thread further down this in this forum area and review my document (linked in the thread).
I don't believe you should buy a "fixer-upper" if you intend to really use it right away. I also would not pay for a "fixer-upper" as it is probably be just shy of the junkyard because repair cost will far exceed the overall value of the whole rig. It's a shame that most people ignore basic maintenance and a small leak becomes a huge, RV killer situation.
In my case, after the rebuild my family has used and loves good old Mabel. She is turning out to be fantastic fun for us.
