Buying From Dealer Vs. Private Party

We bought both of our last two DPs from a dealer. In both cases we had a coach to trade in since I did not want to deal with tire kickers. We carefully selected the dealer. One was in Illinois and the other was in NC. Both experiences were very satisfactory and both dealers met our requirements to show us only one-owner used coaches, coaches with maintenance records and those whose prior owner would be willing to speak to us.

There are advantages to both but IMO the scales tip toward the dealer if you select a dealer with a good reputation.
