Option 2 for sure. Noticed some comments regarding Allison 6 speed transmission. Recently sold an 07 Workhorse with a Chevy Vortec and currently in an 08 with the Allison and Workhorse combo. Have 28 k on the newer purchase and love it. Now in a 39 ft compared to the previous 36 ft. Workhorse and the Vortec not available after 08, emissions problems, but they are a wonderful combination. Newer units have the Ford V10 and it was available as well in units of the age of mine. Also a wonderful combination. For value and savings on depreciation used is the only way to go. Lots of low mileage, low use units available. Good luck and enjoy the search!
