My advise is to buy something used that was high-end when originally built. My 23 year old Safari is still going strong with original appliances and running gear. In the $50k range you can go Tiffin, Newmar, Beaver or if you want to go older Foretravel and Travel Supreme.
Here's a nice looking pre-Monaco Beaver for under $50.
One thing the OP should note is that when the storage bays come out with the slide you do not have pass-through storage which would kill it for me. And, you risk damage in a tight RV spot if there is a fence, bushes, or another obstacle. I damaged a rental by hitting the water spigot when the Fleetwood Expedition slide had the bays that came out with the slide.
Some Beavers have the level legs that rest on the chassis for leveling, they don't come to the ground. I find that odd.
Also, I like to fuel directly into the fuel tank, the Beavers that I saw have a rubber fill neck that could erode.
Just a couple of things that I wanted to point out.
If I were looking for a good high quality used unit, Monaco products would be at the top for sure! Loved our '08 Dynasty. :D
Safe travels,
MM.
