same trans Mack calls the Mdrive,pretty sure built by ZF, largest transmission builder in the world.
overseas it is installed in 700hp units moving way more weight then north america allows (in class 8)
Thanks for seeing that....I meant to say no clutch pedal. I have the mdrive in my mack and love it and all the benefits you mentioned are great but in really tight areas the Allison can be feathered better. The ishift is great and does a great job of slipping the clutch a little to ease forward or back a little but still a little bit of off or on so to speak. The mack/Volvo tranny is built in Hagerstown md just up the road from me and to my knowledge is a Volvo design not zf
