Double checking the literature that salesman gave me, the Newell states it has an 'Allison 6 speed World Transmission'.
I noticed on the price order form that there is a $4,000 up-charge for the mid-entry door. I know having a mid-door will also take away a little cabinet space but the front passenger can make a nice nest without moving things for entry/exit.
Also, upper end coaches like these and Prevost's, don't have an awning over the front entry door. That's another reason I thought a mid-entry door might be a plus. I need to check the bay area next to where this door opens as it will hug the side of the coach (air operated) and I wouldn't want a bay door to be in the way if opened. I would think they have thought about that.
I'm going to try and check out the display unit again today and ask a million more questions. The salesman is going to get real tired of me. I also want to dig around all the bay area's.
The brochure indicates that Newell's have ONE holding tank for black/grey (180 gallon). Some Prevost conversions are 'one-tank' holding coaches such as Liberty Coach.
It's amazing how large the ISX engine is when looking at it sitting in it's cradle. We have the ISL in ours and this thing looks twice as big.
