I have twin Volvo diesels in my 43' trawler that are 19 years old and are still running strong. IMHO when you start talking big dog toys like Prevost or Newell the price isn't the deciding factor. Same with big boats, etc. So forget about what they cost. Its more about attitude and making a statement. When a Prevost pulls into the pull thru next to me I don't have to guess about the owners financial status. So if status matters to the OP, its hard to beat a Prevost. I drive a 38' gasser but with a vacation home in Maine and a live aboard boat and a home in Florida all I needed was transportation from one to the other. I hate to fly and I hate hotels. I try to put my money where I get the most enjoyment and satisfaction. My bet is the OP already knows what he prefers and is getting a chuckle over the responses.
