Along the coast, there is a state campground, just south of Coronado Island. It is dry camping, and on the ocean. If cool, it will be fine, (but probably full) if warm, I would not want to be there! No A/C.

I think you are talking about Silver Strand State Beach. They now have water and electric at all sites as well as a dump station on site.
