With fuel Prices going down ($2.75 for regular here in Rhode Island) and knowing that they are sure to go up by springtime, is there any reason I can't fill up my MH now and keep close to a full tank ...

I always leave the tank full when stored. Long term, use stabil or seafoam for cheap added protection.
