On most Winnebago coaches shore power does not charge the engine battery. Some add an AMP-L-START 15 amp charger to their system to keep the engine battery charged while on shore power. Otherwise the engine battery can loose its charge on extended periods of shore power.
Great information. I've got a 900 watt solar system on my roof so for now I think I'll run a extension cord with my trickle charger when the coach is parked for extended time.
