Can you help me figure out the right motorhome?

I’ve been snooping around this and other forums for a few months and you’ve all been a great help to me! I’ve been trying to think of how to ask my first question.

One thing I decided is to stay away from is mentioning a motorhome brand as there are distinct love/hate relationships there. I will mention one brand but please understand I’m referencing it only to help establish my question with no concern of the brand!

I don’t want to buy more than I need and I don’t know enough at this point to be sure I understand what that is? First you should know my interests and that’s a 3 to 5 year old 43’ to 45’ DP. The ideal setup would be a bath and a half, separate W/D, queen/king bed with the desk and chair floorplan.

My wife and I will be spending 7 to 9 months a year in the coach going between cold places in the summer and warm places in the winter.

Newmar, there I said it! And I said it because they are a brand that has 5 different coaches with tag axles with a broad MSRP range of prices.

King Aire $855,500
Essex $709,300
London Aire $570,000
Mountain Aire $519,200
Dutch Star $335,200

I want a coach to get us from here to there in reasonable comfort when parked and when on the road. We will spend most of the year in our coach so comfort is important.

My question is “how do I decide what to buy”?

• Do I automatically decide on the King Aire/Essex because the more expensive it is the better the coach?
• Or can I look at the London Aire/Mountain Aire because they are less money and are built just as well as the higher priced motorhomes?

I understand that more money gets you more stuff, but how much do you have to pay to get a good reliable and comfortable motorhome?

Maybe another way to ask it is, will a Newmar London Aire be just as quiet and just as reliable as its King Aire counterpart?

Thanks
