We have a friend who is on a fairly long trip, in her RVan (she and I like that better than "B"), making a pretty good circuit of the eastern part of the country.....from Milwaukee to Cape Cod, the down to Florida, and back home...and they are in a conversion van (not the much larger Sprinter), with two adults and 2-3 dogs.
I would tend to doubt that they are as comfortable as you will be in your "A" but I'm sure that they are having a lot of fun, and when the wife goes on some of these trips by herself (she finally got her husband to go along, and he's enjoying it), she said that she'd rather stay in the RVan than in the homes of Friends/Family...so I guess it's comfortable enough.:)
I'd recommend visiting a few of the RVs, and climb around in them....see what it would be like to sleep, cook, and just live in the RV. Changing things over from sofa to bed, or making galley work for you, may not work for you....so it's best to see how you feel in it.
Good luck in what ever you decide:)
