Yep X3 what a few have said. We had an 2001 GS Conquest Sport 23ft. Since I had back surgery it was just to much to climb up in the overhead. We sold it and been looking for same length only with rear bed.
First used RV dealership we stopped at had a 13 Nexus 23P with 11K miles on it. Price was $54K it was the nicest well built RV we had seen and been in.
But thinking its wayyy out of our price comfort zone.
So it was the thought process of staying in the low $20's.
Absolute garbage every one we looked at. So bumped up to $30 range not much different a few years newer but still filthy dirty, leak stains and was gooing to need alot of tlc/money to bring it up to par.
Bumped to the $40's and started seeing better features but still compared every one to that 13 Nexus we first saw.
Went back to try and deal on the Nexus, but was a day late they sold it the night before.
So started looking at more and it was a combination of private party in over their head and wanted me as the buyer to bail em out or they wanted 5-8K over book price.
Dealers were worse! Had one want to book out the MH I mean build a MH with the NADA book !
Unless something pops up and not garbage like 99% of what we wasted our time to go look at , we are leaning to have one built the way we want it !
Its going to be in the $60s but at least it will be exactly as we want it and NOT settle for something else ...
Don't know if it is just this throw away society we appear to live in this day and time ? But the dollar sure doesn't go very far/buy much
