Regarding slide outs: We bought a small slideless Class C to get out in the middle of nowhere when necessary for our hobby. The last thing I want out in the middle of nowhere is a slide that won't retract or a slide that starts leaking during a blowing rain storm ... not even considering how much a hole in the wall of a room that is mobile eventually is bound to compromise it's structural intergrity with the resulting consequences.
When we sell our 24 footer if it has to be to a special buyer ... so be it!
