OFDPOS, we went through the same process. We decided to buy new because we could not find one used that seemed worth it.
The Nexus are very highly thought of, they seem to be well built. As a point of reference, you can buy a 2015 Sunseeker 2300 like my 2014 for under $52K, if you shop around. That won't be the asking price, you'll have to work them down. Get a price from RVDirect.com as a starting point. It's very similar to the Nexus 23P. Not quite the build quality but I think it's better than some of the other entry level brands. As a company they do put a lot of effort into continuous improvements.
We looked at a Sunseeker 2300 2011, somewhere here on a post I described my experience with it.
Seeing it for a quick 10 min. walk around and inside . Then saw the asking price. Laughed at the salesguy and said without doing my homework I think this would book for maybe 38k , I was wrong it booked for $32,647. Asking was $59,995 BUT was on sale for $49,995...
A quick phone call to the salesguy telling him the book price. Mysteriously a check on their website a couple hours later they brought the price down to $39,900 on their website.
Came back next day and spent 3 hours there looking it over, test driving and had close to two pages of things needed attention to to completely needed replaced.
I see you have a Sunseeker and like it alot. Looks nice !..
For us once we saw that used 2013 23P Nexus , nothing else we have seen has compared to it for the money.
Now I haven't seen a Lazy Dazy or Coach House or ? not sure what other higher end MH brands ?
Yes there are a few things I'd like to see different on the Nexus but the quality fit and finish of the used 13 one we saw, then look at the Coachmen , Freelanders, Leprechauns, Four Winds , and Minni Winni's etc we have looked at just doesn't compare...
