Captain Seat Removal

I have a 2013 Jayco Greyhawk and the material on the front captain chairs and sofa has absolutely disintegrated. The drivers seat is powered but the passenger side is not. I can’t find any place near where I live that I can take the rv to to have the seats reupholstered. What’s involved in removing the front seats? I already have the sofa removed. Any help is appreciated.
  • When the seats in my RV were ready to be recovered I looked at shops to do it,they were VERY expensive.

Then I found The Seat Shop the prices were right and they have instruction videos that show how it is done step by step. I replaced the foam and seat covers at less than half of what I was quoted at a shop.

Just punch in your information and get a price, the shipping was very fast and the video was excellent.

Youtube has many videos on the removal of the seat itself, very helpful.
  • I think they mount to the floor of the cab structure with four bolts, sometimes with a riser in between the seat proper and the floor (and in that case there are four more bolts to mount the seat to the riser base). There may also be a few electrical wires to disconnect. In any case it should be quite straightforward.
