We rented a car once and that was it.
For us, we like the security of a lifeboat (our car) being behind the MH. In case of an emergency while camped, we have instant access to a vehicle to get to Dr, Vet, hospital...........whatever we need. In case of a MH breakdown, we can still go see local sites.
Many small towns do not have rental cars available. So, no one can decide for you. For some this works but for us, not at all. Even getting groceries becomes a big issue with no car and sometimes limited parking near stores. Good luck with your decision and travel safe.
