My first thought is that you may not be fond enough of the dog. A well groomed dog should be welcome in your household and RV, and have minimal issues with shedding or smell. Many of us consider our pets family members, and treat them accordingly.
My second thought is that many campgrounds do not allow pets to be left unattended outside of the RV, and that will present some issues, particularly at night.
My third thought is that you haven't given us any information about the type of RV you have, or the breed/size/age of the dog.
