Scenario #1
The OP has a Class A.
The dog is an outdoor dog, not regularly in his home.
In that case - the dog really should not go on RV trips. If you are taking a dog, cat or other pet, on an RV trip, it needs to be an indoor pet.
---------------------------
Scenario #2
The OP has a 5er or TT - posted on the Class A forum because it was on top.
Doesn't have room for the dog in the TV - either due to kids or concern over the dog getting in the way of driving.
Doesn't want the dog free to roam inside the trailer.
In that case - he really should get a case for the dog and find a way to keep the dog in the TV or leave the dog at home.
--------------------
Scenario #3
OP has a Class A or C
Is concerned about the dog getting underfoot while driving.
Use a travel case/ kennel cage to keep the dog confined while driving.
