Could your family member manage your mail using your current address? It sounds like you're going to be more "longtimers" than "fulltimers". One of our daughters handled our mail for a couple of years until we switched to a commercial service for their scanning feature. Our daughter would weed out the junk mail, and let us know what mail we had once a week or so. If we wanted to know more about a particular item right away, we would have her open it and read it to us. Otherwise, she would package the accumulated mail in a USPS flat rate envelope and send it off to a campground or General Delivery where we were or were going to be in a few days.
