May 27: Outside of Bryce Canyon NP, on Tom Best Road, Red Canyon, Dixie NF. 37.73075,-112.24533 elevation 7910'. Cost $0. We hoped to snag a site at the NFS Red Canyon CG, but at 2:30 it was full. No surprise there. We stopped at the nearby info center to ask about dispersed camping. They suggested Tom Best Road. It was fine. Most sites are down side roads, and my DW wishes they were smoother. They are not bad though. We chose our site just off the main road. Further back in on our site road was a sweet aluminum Airstream MH and a fiver pulled by HDT, with piggyback Smart Car.
Believe it or not, our site is level.
