CG Pics, 8 weeks no reservations, IL-AZ/UT/CO/NM-IL

I know I always get a kick out of trip reports, especially if they are more pictures than words. We are doing a trip in summer with no advance reservations. So far so good, I hope I don't jinx it now...

May 29: Pleasant Creek FS CG on Utah 12, south of Capitol Reef NP. 38.10068,-111.33673. Elevation 8652. Cost $12. Huge site. The narrow fast-falling creek was roaring with snow melt from above. Highs in the 60s. Unfortunately easy to find firewood because of the pine bark beetle killed trees. Those three trees in the first photo are goners.

Site was pretty level, unlike the second photo, lol.
