Great trip report! Did you preplan your stops or just completely wing it? Wondering what resources one might use to research free spots? When I had my class C, towing a jeep, it wasn't that hard to unhook the jeep to explore some of the smaller branch roads to find dispersed camping, but now with the 5th wheel, I'm a little less willing to venture down some of the narrower roads that I like to explore without knowing I have a chance to turn around somewhere should the road peter out.
Oh, and my lovely bride is a planner, so completely winging it drives her bonkers ... of course, many things I like to do drives her bonkers! :)
